Teenxpats is a free online community dedicated to, well, teenage expats!

As many of us leave our original countries to live life in different
places all over the world we suddenly realise it's not quite what we
expected!

It's not as easy as it says on the tv! But never fear! You're not alone!

Teenxpats is not only a website dedicated to what we think is
interesting, it's a community of teenagers who've done something
remarkable with their lives (willingly or not), they've moved to
another country, experienced another culture and have learnt (or are
learning) a new language.

So browse the site, read what interests you, talk in our forums and connect with people who are going through the same as you!

In 2004, as a reluctant
teenager, aged 14, Ruairidh Wynne-McHardy found himself in South-West
France along with his family; facing french school, new classmates
that he couldn't understand, new culture and food with no real idea
of where to go for help or useful information.

Now in 2007, Ruairidh
(pronounced rooree) is a fluent french speaker, fully immersed in
teenage french culture, a lyc�e student and, to boot, a much
more confident young man.

The idea of a community
based web site that would help similarly placed teenagers came to him
after realising there was nothing out there to help, advise or just
share the experience of being 'different'!

As Ruairidh says � It's
not as easy as it says on all the tv. Programmes! �

Teenxpats is not only a
website dedicated to what teenagers think is interesting, it's a
community of young people who've done something remarkable with their
lives (willingly or not), they've moved to another country,
experienced another culture and have learnt (or are learning) a new
language.

This site has great
potential to reach a very special sector of people � teenagers.
