OK so I've been podering on this question for a few days now and was wanting other input. Here is the scenerio: You've moved for years and now you've finally settled till you graduate. The problem is: you're not fond of where you live and you can't wait to off on your own. However, you have gotten used to the place, have lots of friends, and a school you'll go to till you graduate. The solution: You now have the opportunity to graduate early and go backpack, i.e. across europe, or go live somewhere else for a year. But you would skip graduating with your class and all that fun. Plus you wouldn't have all the little moments with your friends and any school stuff that goes on. So my question is: Would you take a risk...a chance for a different future filled with adventure or would you stay, graduate with your class, and enjoy all the fun times with your friends? One more thing...in order to graduate early you have to do about a year of home schooling. Vic. => |

Since no-one else has replied then I think that I will... /me glares at rest of the userbase
It's a very difficult question to answer since it is after all, your life! You've got to remember that while you'll have great fun in Europe, one day, you will eventually have to grow up (I know, it's a ridiculous thought!) so you need to think about your long-term future as well as your short-term! Europe is a pretty amazing place, especially with all the new Eastern European countries that have just been admitted into the E.U you can experience hundreds of different cultures, languages as well as individual perspectives, all within one massive lump of land! But then you have America, a place in Uni (which isn't always easy to get) and you wouldn't have to be homeschooled! You don't get the shock of new language, the feeling of being homesick and the millions of other little pains of moving country...
Anyway, no-one but yourself can say what you can do, only offer advice or try to clarify the situation!
P.S If you do go to Europe, don't forget to blog about it! Might even become a featured profile/blog! |

What's more important to you?
Are you ever going to get a chance like that again? Are you brave enough? It all depends really! But remember life's short (well not really, it's the longest thing yu're gonna do!) |

Well, I must say from experience that if you're in the right place (a place with a bunch of other homeschoolers) homeschooling can be really great, but some people just prefer public schooling. Some people would give just about anything to have the change that you're now presented with, but other's absolutely despise it!! Could you take a year between when you graduate and before college? You have to think about what your priority is. ^.^ Hope this helped!! Gillian --Â |
